So, what’s behind the name “Flumpy”? It’s a term of endearment for those lovable pups who lounge around, looking adorably fat and lumpy—like they pay the rent! Fat + Lumpy =Flumpy!
At Flumpy Clothing, we offer high-quality, affordable apparel to keep you cozy all year round. Our current selection includes hoodies and sweatshirts, and we look forward to reaching new horizons for our international customers in the future.
But what truly sets us apart? We’re not just another faceless brand. We’re 4 friends from Leicester on a simple mission: to improve the lives of dogs, by building this business. We aim to create a community around our shared love for dogs.

The story of Flumpy
During lockdown, Nik and JC were deep into gaming when they met a guy named Twist while playing Rainbow Six Siege on PlayStation. Twist, with a great sense of humour, instantly clicked with us. What started as a gaming session quickly turned into a strong friendship.
Twist was diagnosed with muscle wastage, arthritis and fibromyalgia, making him wheelchair-bound, but that doesn’t stop him from being an inspiring figure. He’s resilient and still manages to support his family, which we truly admire. We see Twist as a guidable figure with lots of life experience, which he has shared with us on numerous occasions.
The fun really kicked off with Twist’s adorable pugs, Mac and Mia. When he decided to adopt them, he couldn’t bear to split them up, so he brought both home. Their hilarious antics—lounging around like they own the place—led to the creation of the term “Flumpy,” a playful blend of “fat” and “lumpy.” Twist loves to send funny photos and videos of his pugs, and whenever we want to see more, we’d cheerfully ask, “send The Flumps, init!” Even though we live a few hours apart, we have visited Twist a few times, and the pugs have started to recognize us anytime we visit. Recently, they welcomed a new pug, Link, into the Flumpy Family, adding even more joy to their Flumpy adventures.
Inspired by the fun and connection they’ve built, we decided to launch a clothing brand called Flumpy, celebrating the love and laughter that comes from our friendship with Twist, his family and their lovable pugs.
